What Electric Motor Rewinding Involves
A rewind replaces the damaged windings inside a motor’s stator or rotor with new wire, returning the unit to its original specification. Our process starts with a full electrical and mechanical inspection to establish why the windings failed. We then strip the old coils, clean and test the core, and rewind using new wire to the original design. Every rewind is finished with varnishing, reassembly with new bearings and seals, and complete testing before the motor goes back to site.
