Simon Brooks
Group CEO

After a successful career working for multiple engineering companies, Simon founded Rotamec in May 2000. In the space of 20 years, Simon has expanded Rotamec from one-man to an organisation of 65 employees with branches operating throughout the UK. Having implemented a 24/7, 365 days-a-year service from the very beginning, he has been involved in every aspect of Rotamec during its growth. Championing an adaptable service and opportunities for young engineers, Simon has overseen a strategy of sustainable reinvestment that has brought success to the company he started.

Paul Pearce
Group Managing Director

Paul is responsible for the entire sales process and structuring at Rotamec. Having chosen sales as a career path in his mid-twenties, Paul spent two years working in Germany, where he learnt German as a second language. Then, Paul progressed to the role of sales director, growing businesses to annual turnovers of millions. Joining Rotamec in July 2019, he is responsible for three branches as well as 11 sales and marketing staff – with the aim to exponentially grow the business over the next two years.

Harriot Cullen
Group Marketing Director

Marketing engineering has long been Harriot’s specialty, having cut her teeth at an established compressor/vacuum manufacturer. Responsible for everything marketing related at Rotamec, including strategy and content generation, Harriot has organically grown publicity surrounding the business to create new opportunities and enable expansion. Having worked at Rotamec for 7 years, Harriot also manages marketing for key distribution partners of the business.

Claire Pearson
Group Financial Director

Responsible for all financial aspects of Rotamec, Claire brings 27 years of industry experience to her role. Claire joined the business during its inception in 2000 and has played a key role in its expansion to 62 staff across three sites. Her responsibilities include revenue reporting, monitoring all transactions, improving financial processes, ensuring legislative compliance, payroll and companywide budgetary planning. She also supervises her financial team, helping to facilitate day to day operations at Rotamec. Additionally, Claire maintains positive relationships with service providers and contractors, such as banks and accountants.

Brian Stone
Branch Manager Exeter

A highly qualified mechanical engineer, Brian began his career at Avimo Ltd in the mid-1980s. After almost 28 years as a Director of an Electrical & Mechanical Engineering Company, he then moved on to the Manufacturing Industry as a Factory Manager. Brian joined Rotamec in May 2021 as Workshop Foreman and was promoted in January 2021 to Branch Manager overseeing all operational aspects at the fast-paced Exeter branch. Beyond these responsibilities, he manages branch performance and targets – working closely with senior management.

Fiona James
Branch Manager South Wales

Fiona started with the Rotamec group in April 2022, with over 20 year’s industry experience including MRO environment she brings a wealth of experience to the branch. Fiona is responsible for all day-to-day repair and sales jobs that pass through the branch including project work across South Wales.

Alan Brooks
Branch Manager Cheddar

With a track record at Rotamec of over 20 years, Alan has progressed from working on the shop floor as mechanical engineer and motor rewind specialist. Subsequent stints as a works supervisor and a works manager were followed by his appointment as branch manager at Cheddar prior to taking on his current role. Throughout his career, Alan has been heavily involved in technical project work for customers in multiple sectors, bringing a wealth of expertise garnered from his hard work in the industry.

Matthew Weeks
Group Stock Control & Supply Chain Manager

In his role, Matthew is responsible for controlling stock levels, receiving spares, customer items and organising deliveries. Extensive experience working in the motor trade as a parts advisor provided perfect preparation for managing inventory and logistics. Matthew worked at a Vauxhall dealership for seven years and a Mercedes centre for eight years, before moving to the Mercedes commercial truck department for a further two years. After 17 years in the motor trade, he changed career path, joining Rotamec as a store assistant before being appointed as manager.

Paul Korb
Group - Group H&S, Compliance & Sustainability Manager

Paul is responsible for the Groups Health & Safety, compliance and Sustainability, with years of experience and qualifications to match, Paul’s attention to detail, drive and enthusiasm makes him the perfect candidate for the Group role. Paul started with the business in 2017 as the SHEQ Manager, quickly establishing himself within the business, he has risen through the ranks and now has autonomy over the business’ Health, safety, compliance and sustainability.

Jon Bott
Branch Manager

With over 25 years in the Motor & Service industry, Jon has worked for one of the World’s Leading Motor Manufacturers for 17 years including the position of UK Distribution manager while also managing a Number of Blue Chip OEM accounts. Jon also worked as a National Sales Manager at a UK National MRO Company with the responsibility of maintenance, repair and overhaul products supplier and went on to head the company’s motors & gearboxes division.

Carole Barnes
Customer Service Manager

Carole’s role at Covelec is to ensure that our customers’ expectations have been exceeded. This ranges from customer service to the procurement of parts, and Carole’s role is supported by the management of the Rotamec Group. Carole has significant experience in the supply and repair market for motors, gearboxes, generators and pumps, and has worked at Covelec for 29 years. Carole also has a Business Management degree from Loughborough University. Managing Covelec’s growth, Carole has ensured that the base of long-standing customers is founded on trust.

Tracey Lines
Sales & Business Coordinator

Tracey is responsible for communicating with customers, responding to their needs and ensuring that a high level of service is achieved. The role also involves support of Covelec’s mechanical and electrical service teams, including parts procurement. This is a vital task, especially for urgent breakdowns, and also includes support of Covelec’s 24/7 support & repair service. Tracey has worked at Covelec since 2013 and prior to joining the team she worked in a variety of markets including public utilities.

Sam Varley
Sales & Business Coordinator

Sam has been with Covelec since 2004. Joining the team on an apprenticeship from Leicester College, Sam achieved an NVQ in Business Administration with Covelec. Sam has progressed in her experience of the motor, gearbox, generator and pump market, including the management of repair and installations by coordinating Covelec’s engineers. Sam also supports the engineering team by keeping them supplied with the parts they need.

Marcin Cwiok
Workshop Supervisor - Mechanical

The role of Workshop Supervisor – Mechanical, involves responsibility for machining, balancing, and fitting motors, motor shaft attachments, gearboxes, generators and pumps. As Covelec provides a 24/7 service, rapid repair is crucial and Marcin supervises a team of mechanical engineers to achieve a fast response. Marcin has been at Covelec since 2007.
